SOS Description Species

The following species are currently rarities in Shropshire and, as such, they require some documentation before they will be published in the Shropshire Bird Report. This might take the form of photographs (these must include at least some background information saying where, when and by whom the pictures were taken), sound recordings (note some species recorded by ‘noc miggers’ are still county rarities) or written descriptions. The latter should show how the species was identified and describe the individual bird.

Documentation in support of a rarity record should be sent to the County Recorder, John Martin, by email or to the postal address 39 Sandygate Avenue, Shrewsbury SY2 6TF.
