The Information that we have on you!
As a membership organisation we inevitably hold a certain amount of information on every member, although we try to keep this to an absolute minimum. It is important, however, that this information is accurate for reasons such as data protection, safeguarding, knowing your preferences and communicating with you about the business of the Society
As a consequence, and after discussion with the board, it was agreed that the only way to ensure that the information we hold is complying with current regulations about holding data, and which needs to be as up to date as possible, is to go to those people who know i.e. yourselves! This is your opportunity to ensure the record we hold is up to date and accurate.
We have developed an online form procedure to collect only the information that we need for this exercise. The forms are available below where you are able to select the type of membership you hold, and be directed to fill in the appropriate information for you to complete and submit. We would ask that members complete this as soon as possible.
One important point surrounds membership numbers. At some point in the past, these were changed for some members, but not all. This has led to confusion, particularly when checking the payment of subscriptions, and is something that we would like to eliminate. The form will ask you for the membership number which you think is yours, and where this is found to different from the current membership list, you will be informed about this. After this, the numbers will not be altered.
