Bayston Hill (26 Dec) – Around 140 lapwing – probably with some golden plover amongst them – near railway line. This flock is a regular winter occurrence and is often seen from lyth hill. Good to see them again and in good numbers (Peta Sams)

Chelmarsh Reservoir (19 Nov) – The 6 tundra bean geese were at Chelmarsh again this pm along with c.350 grey-lags and a barnacle type goose. At 15:00 they flew off over the dam wall to feed in adjacent fields. The Cetti’s warbler was also present again, but this time it was by the Causeway close to MSS’s bench. (Steve Haycox)

Much Wenlock (21, 22 & 23 Aug) – 3 Whimbrel seen flying high & calling; traveling south west over Farley Road  at 08:45 23/08/2016. A large movement of swallows and house martins on Sunday 21/8 & 2Monday 22/8 these continued throughout the day.
