The Society has active branches in Ludlow and Church Stretton each of which runs a programme of indoor talks and Ludlow Branch organise outdoor visits in the area and beyond. All members of the SOS are welcome to take part in branch activities as well as the main activities of the Society.
Indoor meetings are held from October to April on the fourth Monday of the month. Venue is The Methodist Church Hall, Watling Street, Church Stretton and meetings commence at 7.30pm. Admission is free to members - non members are very welcome, admission £2 including refreshments.

The weekend trips are by car or coach as listed, places should be booked with the organiser John MacKintosh on 01584 861688. Book as early as possible for coach trips - a deposit of £5 will be required. Bring a packed lunch and wear strong walking shoes.
Wednesday field trips are by car meeting at 10.00am (unless otherwise stated) and usually end about 2.00pm. These are organised by Jim Martin, call 01299 271532 if you wish to join the trip so that cars can be shared and details of the venue confirmed.
